Inside Analytics Reporting Platform

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Inside Analytics Reporting Platform, operated by Inside Analytics (Pty) Ltd.

By creating an account, connecting an accounting organisation or using the Reporting Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.

1. The Reporting Platform

Inside Analytics provides a reporting service that connects to supported accounting systems, retrieves authorised accounting information and produces management reports for authorised customers and users.

The Reporting Platform is intended to assist businesses in understanding and analysing their accounting information. It is not intended to replace the services of a qualified accountant, auditor, tax practitioner, financial adviser or other professional adviser.

2. Creating an Account

To use the Reporting Platform, you must provide information required to create and maintain an account.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for ensuring that only authorised individuals have access to it.

4. Connecting Your Accounting System

The Reporting Platform accesses accounting information only after you have authorised the connection using the accounting provider's official authentication process.

For Xero connections, authentication takes place directly with Xero. Inside Analytics does not receive or store your Xero username or password.

You remain responsible for the accounting organisation connected to the Reporting Platform and for ensuring that you have the necessary authority to grant Inside Analytics access to that organisation.

5. Accounting Data and Reports

The Reporting Platform uses accounting information made available through an authorised connection to produce management reports and related information.

Reports are generated using the information available to the Reporting Platform at the time the relevant information is synchronised.

Inside Analytics makes reasonable efforts to process and present information accurately. However, customers remain responsible for reviewing their accounting records and verifying information contained in reports before relying on it for financial, operational, tax or other business decisions.

Reports generated by the Reporting Platform do not constitute professional accounting, auditing, taxation, investment or financial advice.

6. Customer Data

Customers retain responsibility for the information and accounting data supplied to or made available to the Reporting Platform.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and authority to provide or authorise access to information processed through the Reporting Platform.

Inside Analytics will process customer information for the purpose of providing and supporting the Reporting Platform, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

7. Service Availability

Inside Analytics aims to provide a reliable and continuously available service.

However, the Reporting Platform may occasionally be unavailable or affected by circumstances including:

Where reasonably practical, Inside Analytics will endeavour to restore affected services as soon as possible.

8. Third-Party Services

The Reporting Platform relies on certain third-party services, including supported accounting platforms, hosting infrastructure, email services and other technical services required to operate the platform.

Inside Analytics is not responsible for changes, interruptions, limitations or failures originating from third-party services that are outside the reasonable control of Inside Analytics.

Your use of a third-party accounting platform remains subject to that provider's own terms and conditions and policies.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Reporting Platform responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

10. Intellectual Property

The Reporting Platform, including its software, interface, design, branding, documentation and underlying technology, is owned by or licensed to Inside Analytics (Pty) Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your use of the Reporting Platform does not transfer ownership of the platform or its underlying technology to you.

You retain your rights in information and accounting data that you provide or authorise for processing.

11. Suspension or Termination

Inside Analytics may suspend or restrict access to the Reporting Platform where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, its customers, users or systems, or where there has been a material breach of these Terms of Service.

Customers may stop using the Reporting Platform and may request closure of their account, subject to any applicable contractual, legal or operational requirements.

Following termination, access to the Reporting Platform may be removed and information may be retained or deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable legal or operational requirements.

12. Reports and Business Decisions

The Reporting Platform is a management reporting service.

Information contained in reports should be considered together with the customer's underlying accounting records and other relevant business information.

Customers remain responsible for decisions made using information presented through the Reporting Platform.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Inside Analytics (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Reporting Platform.

This includes, where legally permitted, loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, business interruption or losses arising from decisions made using information contained in generated reports.

Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable South African law.

14. Changes to the Service

Inside Analytics may enhance, modify, replace or discontinue features of the Reporting Platform from time to time in order to maintain, improve or develop the service.

Where a change materially affects the way the service operates, Inside Analytics will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where practical.

15. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the Reporting Platform, our services or applicable legislation.

The latest version will be made available on this page. Continued use of the Reporting Platform after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
